T. W. Jacobs was born in New Bern, North Carolina. She began writing stories while still in grade school. Addicted to horror, science fiction, and fantasy while still a pre-teen, she was influenced by Stephen King, Anne McCaffrey, and Ray Bradbury.

Her professional writing career has included government law enforcement training film scripts, marketing for a casino, and cheesy television ads for car dealerships. She has published horror and science fiction under other names, both traditionally and independently. 

She now resides in Brunswick, Georgia, writing fantasy novels, of which Children of the Eighth Realm is her first. She is married to her amazing husband Peter, a musician.

My father-in-law passed a few days ago, then my uncle died a day later. I've had to do some traveling due to these sad events. All this while, I've been on a schedule to get things rolling promo- and marketing-wise because I have publishing news.  As you may be aware, my wonderful agent has been shopping my book Children of the Eighth Realm to publishers for some time. What an odyssey it’s been. We’ve submitted, consulted editors, and resubmitted. Except now that she had it, she was seized by the urge to eat it immediately. A boy and the second teenage girl shifted. Teasers and Blurbs, Oh My!
